Stephan Siebers operates on the borderline between sculpture and architecture. His works, which can often be arranged in various ways, explore the limits of structural stability and thus always appear dynamic.

In the Layering series, Stephan Siebers stacks steel or aluminum plates of equal or varying thicknesses, using their shifts to seemingly playfully form different formations and shapes. The steel sculptures, which in their smaller formats are made of solid steel, have been joined by newer aluminum works that are anodized in various colours.
